Scholarships

National Scholarships to the value of RS.120/- per month for 12 months in a year will be awarded on merit-cum means basis to the Students who have already availed this facility in the High Schools.

A certain number of other scholarships like (i) Government of India Scholarships for Scheduled Castes and Harijan Welfare Scholarship (children coming from eligible Communities) whose Parents' income does not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- p.a. (ii) District Backward Classes Welfare Officers Scholarship for Backward Communities and M.B.C. whose Parents' income does not exceed Rs. 50,000/- p.a., are also available to Students which are sanctioned by the District Backward Classes Welfare Officers of Government of Tamil Nadu. (iii) Children of Ex-servicemen are granted Scholarship by the Directorate Ex-servicemen's Welfare.

State Scholarship will be sanctioned by the Director of Adi Dravida Community to the Students whose Parents' income does not exceed Rs. 50,000/-.

Besides these there are other scholarships which are open to all and given on merit basis by the Director of Collegiate Education.

Free Education Scheme for Backward and MBC Students

1. The Students must be the first generations to study full time Diploma in the family.

2. Annual income of Rs. 50,000/-

3. Tuition Fees, Special Fees and other non-refundable fe.es are given back as Scholarships.

4. Boarding and lodging as per notification previously in vogue.

Sanctioned for both the classes by Destrict Backward Class Welfare Officer, Chennai.
